TATA AFRICA HOLDINGS LTD - VEHICLE RANGE LAUNCH 2013

Vision Investments through its Event Management wing was tasked with planning and execution of Tata Motors launch of three dynamic passenger vehicles in Tanzania namely;

Dar es Salaam, December 2, 2013: Tata Motors today launched three exciting and contemporary looking, passenger vehicles in the east African country of Tanzania. The three new introductions are the crossover, Tata Aria, the Sports Utility Vehicle, Tata Storme, and the luxurious sedan, Tata Manza.

We are confident that the Storme, Aria and Manza will be well accepted by the market.  About the three new introductions:

Tata Storme: The Tata Storme is a combination of luxury and comfort with raw power and supreme off-roading performance. The Storme is a refined beast delivering a performance of 0 - 100 km/hr in under 15 sec. Its 2.2L VariCOR engine, turbocharged with VTT (Variable Turbine Technology), delivers 140 PS Power & 320 NM Torque, providing easy driveability, swifter response and lower NVH (Noise, Vibration and Harshness). The vehicle also features ESOF (electronic shift-on-fly) technology, enabling engagement of the 4x4 or 4X2 mode, on the move. Yet it is highly fuel efficiency at 13.2kmpl in the 4x4 variant. The VX 4x4 variant of the vehicle is priced at USD 29,000 (excluding VAT and duties). It is available in five vibrant colours - Urban Bronze, Sardinia Red, Pearl White, Pearl Champagne and Arctic Silver.

 Tata Aria: The Tata Aria redefines several benchmarks with its design and technologies, offering class leading features that take comfort and safety to a new height. A sedan and an SUV blended in one car - with sedan-like finesse, handling, ride quality and SUV-like performance, off-roading capability and commanding stance.The Aria is available in 5 colours and the Prestige variant is priced at USD


32,000(excluding VAT and duties).

Tata Manza: The Manza is a spacious and contemporary sedan. It is designed to offer the very best in comfort for both the driver and passengers. The driver information system on top of the 
central console provides information on fuel consumption and ambient temperature. The Ignis version of the car will be available in the petrol variant at USD 15,500 (excluding VAT and duties). The colours available are - Porcelain White, Spice Red, Jet Silver, Cavern Grey and Infinity Black.

All the vehicles come with a factory warranty of three years 60,000 kms whichever is earlier and shall be sold throughout the network of Tata Africa Holdings in Tanzania.

ICLEI Congress in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania

The scheduled biennial LOCS Congress series that is taking place in Dar es Salaam Tanzania for the 1st time but a second time in Africa.

"The Pan-African Local Climate Solutions for Africa Congress 2013 was opened today by Vice President of Tanzania, Dr Mohamed Ghalib Bilal, in Dar es Salaam. Hosted by the City of Dar es Salaam and 'ICLEI - Local Governments for Sustainability - Africa', the Vice President proudly welcomed over 400 delegates from across the African continent, local government and city Mayors, Governors and leaders, national government ministries, development partners, NGOs and the private sector to this prestigious event. In his opening speech, he "sincerely applauded the members of ICLEI for their continued commitment in providing the necessary leadership platform to ensure Africa's effective participation in finding practical solutions in combating climate change"; "  http://www.iclei.org/







It is proudly hosted by the Dar es Salaam City Council in association of Association of Local Authorities Tanzania (ALAT). It is scheduled for 30th October - 1st November,2013 at Kunduchi Beach Hotel in Dar es Salaam.

The congress provides a unique and accessible platform for companies engage directly with African local leaders, their associations, national governments, scientists, technical experts, development partners, business, industry and civil society.









These bodies meet at LOCS to engage on the complex issues and innovative solutions related to urbanisation in Africa through the broad context of climate change. Congress themes include a strong emphasis on local leadership, financing and accelerated integrated action at the local and subnational level, underpinned by a special focus on the water-food-energy nexus as pivotal pillars towards climate resilience in Africa.
