AUTOFEST 8TH EDITION 2015

8th Tanzania Automobile Festival (Autofest) – Motor Ingenuity & Extravaganza

17 September, 2015. Dar es Salaam. Hundreds of the latest motorcycle brands, classic vintage cars, luxury vehicles and more are set to take over Biafra grounds, Kinondoni from September 18-20, 2015. Better known as the ‘Tanzania Automobile Festival (Autofest),’ this fun-filled family weekend, which is being hosted by Vision Investments, will feature several special booths and events, including the Auto Style Zone, Motorcycle Stunts and the Kids Car Zone. The opening day of the event will be officiated by the  Permanent Secretary of Ministry of Industry and Trade.

This weekend extravaganza expects to attract a huge motor enthusiast base, making it Tanzania’s prominent and largest car festival. Since its conception in 2008, 


the Autofest has now become an important calendar event in the motor industry, being the only show that brings motoring enthusiasts together. It is a comprehensive show that includes a display of passenger cars, commercial vehicles, motorcycles, vehicle bodies, parts, machinery and tools, as well as automobile-related services.

New to the lineup is the Celebrity Charity Carwash. The fund raising is aimed acquiring a dedside Ultrasound for Muhimbili National Hospital Emergence Medicine Unit and Blood donation. Through this initiative, Vision Investments aims at working closely with this very vital department so that each staff member can focus their attention on delivering excellent quality of patient care in the hospital’s busiest area.
In addition to the public events, show goers have the chance to compare hundreds of new models side by side from varied manufacturers all in one place. Show goers are invited to inspect engines, check out trunk space, experience new technologies, test drive vehicles and take in that new car smell. From car enthusiasts to car shoppers, the Auto fest offers something for everyone. Admission to the Autofest is Tsh 5,000 for adults, Tsh 2,000 for children aged 6-12, and free for children under five years of age. Gates open from 10 a.m., onwards. The Autofest has been endorsed by the Ministry of Industry and Trade, and is proudly sponsored by Polaris, Cheki.co.tz, TFL Motors, Automart, Coca Cola, Sanwa Motors, Azam Media, Drive Shaft, Simply Elegant, IPSOS and Automobile Association of Tanzania (AAT)
